Boards going in, lake going up

With the ice gone, the Lake Boon Commission and Conservation Commission have directed the Stow Highway Department to install the boards in the dam outfall on March 10th, ending this winter’s drawdown.

This will bring the level up slowly, depending on rain, snow melt and ground water flow.

Last year it took approximately 2 months to reach the normal level which will be approximately 9″ higher than now. Be advised that time is limited to do any work on waterfronts at this low level.
