Lake Boon Roadside Cleanup April 29-30

This is a great opportunity to contribute to our lake community by enhancing the environment, setting a good example for our kids and grandkids, and carrying out another part of our Watershed Management Plan. Please help pick up trash along our roads to get the neighborhood looking nice this spring and prevent anything from washing into the lake or clogging storm drains.

The Lake cleanup coincides with the Stow town cleanup. Garbage bags and adult gloves can be obtained from the Stow Lower Village shopping center near Papa Gino’s Saturday morning 8 am to noon where there is also a sign-up for the various areas of town. https://stowcleanup.wordpress.com/

Wear bright clothing and be careful of traffic. Put the accumulation with your normal trash pickup. If have you large bags in Stow, the Stow highway department will be around to pick up bags left at the edge of major roads, e.g. Sudbury Road, on Monday.

Kayakers may want to consider cruising shorelines to collect the accumulation of items set adrift by the higher water level. A few weeks ago a fine collection was gathered adjacent to the Stow town beach (pictured above). Did anyone lose a child size left Croc sandal?
