Stay safe this July 4th
Let’s enjoy celebrating the 4th of July on the lake with the fine summer weather forecast. With so many boats and swimmers out there, please be extra cautious, especially at night when visibility (and audibility with fireworks) are very limited.
- Boats must have lights visible all around.
- Any night-time swimmers must stay very close to shore.
- Pontoon boats should only use navigation lights; docking (head) lights are only for docking or emergency use and tend to blind other boaters.
Remember: in any of the narrows, during quiet hours of 2-6 p.m. holidays and Sundays, and at night, minimal no-wake speed is the rule.
HAVE A GREAT TIME!
