There’s a blue and white paddle boat that has made its way to the dock at 150 North Shore Drive, in the second basin, where the Fuller name is in the greenery. The owners can come anytime to pick it up.

Also, this blue Pioneer paddle, found floating near the dam yesterday, is now at 12 Pine Point Road near the dock for pickup. You can also email grayscale@earthlink.net to make other arrangements.

Public hearing on Lake Boon boating rules

You may recall that parts of the Lake Boon boating rules were found to be in conflict with Massachusetts state boating regulations, which take precedence over local ordinance.

The Lake Boon Commission has revised the rules to eliminate the conflicts and clarify other parts of the rules. Because the Lake Boon rules are a part of Stow town by-laws (but not Hudson’s), they must go to a public hearing and then go to Stow town meeting for a vote.  This was attempted at a previous town meeting but technical issues with the warrant prevented the vote.

The hearing will be held by Zoom on Wednesday, May 20, 2020, at 7 p.m.

For supporting documentation on the rules change, text of the legal notice, more information, and the link to participate in the meeting online, see this page on the Stow town website.
